IDEA / CUSTOM BUILD
The third generation of the IDEA R1 AERO frameset combines low weight with performance geometry and efficient power transfer. The frame alone weighs 960 g; a complete bike in the top specification and size 52 weighs 6.9 kg.
We choose the frame size, cockpit dimensions, components and colours together. The result is a custom build that suits your position, riding style and personal taste.
THIRD-GENERATION IDEA R1
R1 AERO evolution continues with a redesigned seatpost clamp, new cockpit and headset. The frame offers clearance for tyres up to 700 × 32 and a performance riding position.

COCKPIT / ERGONOMICS
The redesigned IDEA R1 integrated handlebars have a new ergonomic shape. Four widths and four stem lengths let you match the cockpit to the frame geometry and your needs.
The cable routing allows straightforward handlebar removal when transporting the bike. According to IDEA’s development data, the headset is 20% stronger than on the previous model.

PERSONAL BIKE FITTING
Size selection starts with stack and reach: the frame’s actual height and length, which can be compared with other models. The saddle-height table is a guide; size and position are determined through measurements and your individual needs.

Each width of 380, 400, 420 and 440 mm can be combined with a 90, 100, 110 or 120 mm stem. Drop is 125 mm and angle 9°. We’ll refine your choice through bike fitting.

The matt black and gold frame is complemented by handlebars and a fork in reflective gold.
Every frame is hand-painted in the Czech Republic, with care taken over the finish of each piece.
We can adapt the colours of the standard TEAM design to your individual requirements.

The redesigned seatpost clamp provides secure fastening and reduces the mechanism’s overall weight by 25 g.
+20 %
Cables run inside the cockpit. The construction makes it easier to remove the handlebars for air travel; according to IDEA, the headset is 20% stronger than on the original model.
32 mm
Frame clearance of up to 32 mm allows wider tyres and wheelsets with a wide hookless profile. We choose each tyre and rim combination with compatibility in mind.

For all three specifications, we select geometry based on bike fitting, design, component options, wheel model, tyre width and saddle type and width. Listed weights refer to the corresponding specification; 6.9 kg is quoted for size 52.
