The CHAMPION version of the IDEA S1 AERO was certainly not built for gentle rides to a café. This is a machine that wants to push speed limits. Every ride and race proves that it is more than a kick scooter: it is a weapon.

First impressions and handling

I knew after the first few kilometres that this kick scooter was something special. We clicked straight away and everything works exactly as it should. It feels exceptionally stiff, yet every movement is predictable. The design is sharp and aggressive, exactly as a racing kick scooter should be. Put me on it and the combination becomes a little more dangerous still.

The handling feels ahead of its time. Whether I am descending steeply or taking a corner at the limit, it is always eager, stable and ready for action. It responds quickly, holds its line and has precisely the lively feel I expect from a top racing model.

Working together on development

Being directly involved in development was an incredible experience for me. I discussed everything with Mr Strnadel, who took my feedback seriously and gave me considerable freedom, especially on the handlebars. We wanted to create something the kick scooter world had not seen before, and I think we succeeded. The handlebars are finely tuned in function and distinctive in design.

A winning debut at the Czech Cup in Pardubice

The racing debut? Complete dominance. The kick scooter worked flawlessly from start to finish, showing that all those hours of refinement and testing had paid off. It held its line at high speed, climbed easily and felt completely composed on descents. I first tested it at full effort at the Czech Cup in Pardubice, and it was more than excellent. I was surprised by how well it held speed. Even when I was at my limit, it still wanted to accelerate. I felt confident and, above all, fast: exactly how a racer should feel when their equipment gives them an advantage. The IDEA Strnadel S1 is light, stiff and extremely fast, a machine that keeps up with me and pushes me further. I already know this season will be worth it.
